Principal Cyber Security Consultant
- My primary role as an Information Security Officer is acting as a liaison between the Cyber Security department and the business units that manage critical business functions. I serve as a point person on any initiatives that need to be met to reduce overall risk exposure, while also representing the needs of the business and the constraints that exist.
- Business Information Security Officer (BISO) for the Fidelity Personal Trust Company Business unit. Handling information gathering requirements for regulatory exams by the OCC (Office of the Comptroller of the Currency).
- GRC (Governance, Risk Compliance) Manager for Cybersecurity Policy exceptions. This includes creating and managing a risk acceptance process when presenting the use cases around what policies are being violated and what the overall exposure is to the business.
- Social Media Engagement for Reddit, Twitter, and Discord moderators. My engagement includes weighing in on public posts that reference Fidelity’s products and services, specifically from a technical/cyber lens. I meet with product owners monthly to ensure awareness and visibility to any trends that may pop up as well.
- Scrum Master. I facilitate daily stand up, JIRA board maintenance, capacity planning to ensure that team resources are being utilized effectively.

This degree focused on process improvement and supply chain management through successful project implementation. A very heavy emphasis was placed on Lean/ Six Sigma and extensive statistical knowledge. The degree required over 133 credit hours and was among one of the most difficult business degree plans at UTA.

An MBA is a continuation of the basic information that is learned in the undergraduate curriculum. I realized a year out from graduating with my bachelors degree that I was not done learning all I can about business management.
